How to Create YOUR Flag with PHOTOS from YOUR Computer:
Choose INSERT, PICTURE & FROM FILE to search for a photo on your computer. When you locate your desired photo, double click on photo and it will automatically be inserted on your layout.

How to Create YOUR Flag with CLIP ART pictures:
Choose INSERT, PICTURE & CLIPART. A CLIPART search window should open. Place the type of picture you would like to find in the “Search for:” box and click “Go”. Choose Your CLIPART selection by clicking on the picture once and it should automatically insert into your layout.

How to Create YOUR Flag with WordArt:
Choose INSERT, PICTURE & WordArt. Double click on your selection and Type in YOUR custom text. At this point you can change the font type, size and make the text Bold or Italicized. We suggest you BOLD your text to stand out on your flag.

How to Create YOUR Flag with Photos from the Internet:
Search on your favorite search engine, Google, Yahoo, etc. for the type of photo you would like, i.e. football, balloons, animals, etc. Click IMAGES at the top of the results to view selections. When you locate your favorite photo, right click on the photo and select SAVE PICTURE AS. Save the photo where you can easily find it, if possible, on your desktop. Go back to your Microsoft Word layout and follow steps above for How to Design YOUR Flag with PHOTOS. Find the photo you chose and Insert into layout. Please be considerate of Copyright Laws that may apply to some photos on the Internet!
How to Create YOUR Flag with YOUR own Text:
Place your cursor where you would like to Insert Text. Choose INSERT & TEXT BOX. Click in the exact area you would like to place text box. You can use the white dots to resize Text Box as needed. To move Text Box click & hold left mouse button on the edge of the Text Box, then move to desired area of your layout. Once the Text Box is positioned on your layout, click inside the box to begin writing your Text.
*HOW TO MOVE OBJECTS WITHIN YOUR LAYOUT:
Photos & Clip Art (Image): Once you have inserted your Image, double click on Image and Choose LAYOUT tab. Choose SQUARE. You can now place your mouse over Image while holding down the left button and move Image within your layout. When the Image is where you want it, let go of the mouse button. Choose one of the white dots on each side of your Image to adjust size. You can also turn your Image by placing your cursor over the GREEN dot and hold down your left mouse button while moving your mouse in the direction you would like to turn the Image.
WordArt: Once you have inserted your WordArt, right click on the Text and Choose FORMAT WORD ART. Choose LAYOUT tab & then SQUARE. You can now place your mouse over Text while holding down the left button and move Text within your layout. After moving the Text where you want it, let go of the mouse button. Choose one of the white dots on each side of your Text to adjust size. You can also turn your Text by placing your cursor over the GREEN dot and hold down your left mouse button while moving your mouse in the direction you would like to turn the Text. You can click & hold the yellow diamond on the bottom of the Text to slant the Text to the left or right.
